Regular tights are thinner, and they don't keep you warm, plus they aren't waterproof. Figure skating tights are waterproof, more warm and a lot thicker. I no they are expensive. I have probably gone through 100 dollars worth of over the boot tights because they rip a lot. But trust me, ice skating tights are worth it. You can buy ice skating tights online.
